Abstract

Developments in molten metal atomization have followed the requirements of clearly identifiable markets for advanced alloy compositions. Consequently, new requirements are leading to detailed differences in the atomization processes. The following article outlines some of the developments which have taken place over recent years in the atomization processes for the molten metals, and which can replace water/gas and rotary atomization.
