Abstract

The uncertain line of fixation of the deviating eye complicates the measurement of strabismus. The relation of the blind spot to the fovea being permanent, mapping of the blind spot with the stereoscopic campimeter, first with fixation by the good eye and then with fixation by the amblyopic eye, the difference in position of the blind spot indicates the amount of strabismus. Cases illustrating the value of this method are given. Read before the Brooklyn Ophthalmological Society, April, 1923.
