Abstract

Abstract An equation for the relation between the X-ray source size and focal spot size of a single-bounce ellipsoidal glass monocapillary X-ray condenser (SBEGMXC) was constructed. According to this equation, a method by measuring the focal spot size of an SBEGMXC was used to determine the average slope error of the SBEGMXC, and this method based on an X-ray source with an adjustable source size. Compared with the existing methods for measuring the slope error of an SBEGMXC, this method could be used to obtain the average of slope errors originating from every point on the inner surface of the SBEGMXC.
