Abstract

Objectives: Self-reported data suggest that women in the United States self-induce abortions; however, these data likely suffer from underreporting given the sensitive nature of the topic. We explore whether the list experiment, a method previously employed to reduce underreporting of abortion experiences, might moderately improve the accuracy of self-induction estimates.
