Abstract

In this study, we develop a scale about team learning in China, combing the Chinese social culture characters such as great power distance, collectivism orientation and uncertainty avoidance. Survey data from 82 teams in 14 high-technology firms are used, first to establish structural validity of the scale by exploratory factor analysis and confirmatory factor analysis, and second to test the relationships between team learning and team performance using regression models. Results show that there are three dimensions in team learning, including internal learning, vicarious learning, and contextual learning. The three dimensions of team learning positively influence team performance.
