Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to develop an instrument for measuring young Brazilians’ perceived risk of mobile banking privacy and performance. To build the instrument, a set of 25 items was developed and applied to a sample of 350 young mobile banking users in Brazil. We identified that factors such as the amount of time spent transacting, access to the banking application, and the possibility of interception of the connection are perceived as factors that most influence the perception of performance and privacy risk.
