Abstract
The basic ingredients of the transient-field technique to measureg-factors of short-lived nuclear excited states are outlined. The result of recent experiments to determine theg-factors of yrast states in the backbending region of158Dy is shown. Then the application of the same technique tog-factor measurements in20Ne and24Mg is presented in detail.
