Abstract

Measurements of radio emission from the planet Uranus at 8.22-mm wavelength were made using the 22-meter Lebedev radio telescope with a low-noise maser amplifier. The brightness temperature ratio of Uranus to Jupiter was found to be T B ♂ T B ♃ = 0.91 ± 0.10 . Adopting a Jupiter brightness temperature of 144°K, we obtain T B ♂ = 131 ± 15 °K .
