Measurements of the anisotropy of the total collision cross section for the systems NON 2 and NOSF 6

Abstract

For the systems NON 2 and NOSF 6 measurements of the anisotropy of the total collision cross section are reported. Using a beam of NO molecules in the 2Π 3 2 state with j = m j = 3 2 , the systems were investigated at relative velocities between 490 and 680 m/s. No glory undulations were resolved. Values of the corresponding anisotropy parameter q 2,6 are presented.
