Abstract

Observations of the radiation from Mars at wavelengths of 1.55 and 0.95 cm were made around the time of the 1967 opposition. The average equivalent blackbody temperatures derived from the measurements and corrected to Mars' mean solar distance (1.524 a. u.) are 172° ± 35°K (p.e.) and 171° ± 37°K (p.e.), respectively.
