Abstract

Internal conversion coefficients of M1, M4 and E2 transitions from the Y 87, Cs 137, Au 198 and Ir 192 decays have been studied by using the internal-external conversion (IEC) method. For unhindered transitions of the 2+→0+ type we have found ( α 2) 317 = 0.054±0.003 for the 317 keV transition from Ir 192 and ( α 2) 412 = 0.028±0.0015 for the 412 keV transition from Au 198, the theoretical values being 0.054 and 0.030, respectively.
