Abstract

Noise environments from machinery operating tasks and a small number of other working situations on the farm have been analysed. These data are compared with limits proposed for hearing conservation and are also intended for comparison with previously published audiology data from tractor drivers and general farm workers. Excessive noise levels are apparent on field machinery, with power hand tools, and in animal houses and crop processing buildings.
