Measurements of electron capture and loss cross sections in collisions of Ar + and Ar 2+ with He in the energy range of 50–300 keV

Abstract

Cross sections for the single electron capture (σ 10), single electron loss (σ 12) and double electron loss (σ 13) in Ar + +He collisions in the energy range 50–250 keV are presented. Also cross sections for the single electron capture (σ 21), double electron capture (σ 20) and single electron loss (σ 23) in the Ar 2+ + He system in the collision energy range of 100–300 keV are reported. The growth curve technique has been used in the data analysis for obtaining these cross sections. The present measurements are compared with some available data.
