Abstract

Vapour-pressures of the three-phase equilibria of the binary system (sulfur dioxide + p-toluidine), where the solid compound C 6H 4CH 3NH 2SO 2 is formed, have been determined from 273.15 to 352.15 K. Also, solubilities of the solid compound in equilibrium with the liquid and gas phases have been measured from 316.45 to 351.45 K. The simple model, which has been described in a previous article, (1) was applied again to predict the temperature-dependent liquid composition, using only the vapour-pressures.
