Abstract

The passive wireless surface acoustic wave (SAW) sensors are very suit for the applications under harsh environmental conditions. The wireless transmission poses great challenges in the measurement reliability due to that the passive SAW sensors have none computational power. This paper proposes a method to predict measurement reliability before operating frequency measurement, which can be used to improve the quality of the measurement. The proposed approach is evaluated in simulations and practical experiments.
