Abstract

Measurements of upper atmospheric winds utilizing the sodium vapor technique were made from Wallops Island, Virginia, during the morning twilight of April 19, 1961, the evening twilight of April 20, 1961, and the morning twilight of April 21, 1961. The magnitude and direction of the winds are reported. Differences and similarities in the winds for the three observations are noted. However, the data appear to be too few to permit determination of the existence of periodic variations.
