Abstract

In this paper, the total radiated power (TRP) measurement of a 5G millimeter wave base station (BS) in reverberation chamber (RC) is presented. Firstly, the features of the RC such as dimensions, mode-stirrers, and test accessories are introduced. Secondly, the configuration of the BS and test instruments are discussed. At the end, the path loss and TRP measurement are implemented in both RC and compact antenna test range (CATR) systems. The results demonstrate that the RC test method provides the same TRP measurement results as the CATR method, but it can obtain a better noise floor and reduce time consumption.
