Abstract

A simple and very fast method of determining the radius of curvature of small diameter laser beams is proposed and experimentally verified. It is based on the Fourier imaging phenomenon in spatially coherent illumination and is particularly recommended for measuring unexpanded Gaussian laser beams when optical flat shearing interferometry methods are not applicable.
