Abstract

There is increasing evidence that concurrent visual and nonvisual tasks not only reduce the size but also result in systematic deformation of the visual field. Given such complex changes in the visual field, appropriate representation and measurement of its shape is all important. Shape measures utilized by tesearchcrs and reported in the literature should also be sufficiently standardized to allow comparison of results across experiments.
