Abstract

Measurements of the detection efficiency (ϵ) of microchannel plates (MCP) for electrons with energies between 1 and 15 keV and input angles between 0° and 60° are reported. In addition, saturation effects at intensities up to 4.5 electrons/channel per second and the efficiency increase by a collecting field at the MCP surface are considered.
