Abstract

The distribution of the concentration of the CN radical across the boundary layer was obtained in experiments on metals made of high-temperature materials which were placed in an air stream heated to 8500‡K. The concentration was calculated on the basis of the measured absolute intensity of radiation of the rotational lines of CN with consideration of the temperature profile obtained in [1], A high-frequency electrodeless discharge was used for heating the air.
