Abstract

Type II endoleaks are frequent after EVAR for abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA), and may require reintervention. The preventive introduction of thrombogenic agents in the aneurysmal sac is an area of research under evaluation. Some groups already adopted preventive embolization by coils. No data is however available on the quantity of thrombogenic agents to use. The measurement of the circulating volume of the aneurysmal sac (CVS) before the operation could contribute to adjust this quantity. This study aimed to evaluate the feasibility of the measurement of the CVS by using various available softwares.
