Abstract

A measurement of the charge asymmetry in the production of top quark pairs in the semileptonic decay channel has been performed. A dataset corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 1.04 fb-1, btained at a centre-of-mass energy of √ = 7 TeV with th ATLAS experiment at the LHC, wa used. Afte erforming a selection o events wit ne isolate epton, at least fou and missin ransverse energy, a kinemati performe struct the t sin th yt and the top antito espectively. An unfoldin e was applied to correct for detecto acceptanc resolutio cts and t in the corresponding distributio at parton level. The total charge asymmetry after unfolding was measure to beAunfC 0.018 ± 0.028 (stat.) ± 0.023 (syst.)in agreement with the Standar Model prediction.In addition, a simultaneou unfolding in |yt|-|yt and the invariant t mass, Mtt
