Abstract

The breakup reaction cross sections were measured for the reactionof 6He at 25 MeV/nucleon from 9Be target withintensity of 105 pps. By fitting the energy spectra ofbreakup α particles with Gaussian functions, theangular distribution of differential cross sections in the laboratory systemhas been extracted and compared with the Serber model calculations. Thegood agreement between the calculation and the experimental data favoursa dominant configuration of the 4He core plus valence neutrons forthe structure of 6He.
