Abstract

Abstract This paper treats the theory of distributed optical fiber sensing measurement used in the monitoring of the structures civil, like tunnels, bridges, buildings, dams, pipeline… While resorting to distributed temperature sensors Raman scattering, we present a theoretical and simulation measurement of temperature. We highlight the effect of distance in temperature measurement in particular the work in this article provides the equation which shows well the relationship between the temperature and distance in optical fiber. The results indicate that the anti stokes signal is strongly dependent on the temperature; therefore the temperature varies slightly by changing the point of measurement.
