Abstract
The proposed methods of determining the surface charge and external field potential of electrets are comparatively simple and convenient. They can be employed in studies of electrets of various shapes (discs, rings, rods, tubes, etc.) and any dimensions. It should be emphasized that the insulated electrode does not affect the electret charge during measurements, which is the major advantage of these methods.
