Abstract
Spin-diffusion coefficient D in 3He gas and in 3He–4He mixtures has been measured by NMR techniques between 2 K and 0.5 K. The samples were polarized by optical pumping. The experimental values of D33 (spin self-diffusion in 3He) and D34 (diffusion of 3He in 4He) seems to be twenty percent higher than the theoretical predictions computed from currently used interatomic potentials.
