Abstract
The saturated hydraulic conductivity (Ks) of some Jordanian soils, characterized as loam and silt loam, was evaluated with three methods namely, coretechnique, double ring infiltrometer and Guelph permeameter. Each experiment wasrepeated for at least three times. Statistical evaluation of the data revealed that doublering infiltrometer had more consistent results with low coefficient of variationfollowed by double ring method and core method, respectively. It also gave thehighest Ks value Core method gave intermediat Ks values compared to the other twomethods but with high variability. Soil cracks and layering seemed to have majorinfluence on Ks measurements with both double ring and Guelph permeametermethods.
