Abstract

The primary goal of this paper is to measure the results of the implementation of the TQM system in the context of its connection with Industry 4.0. The paper identifies factors that influence the implementation of the TQM system. Based on the harmonization of the requirements of ISO 9001:2015 and the characteristics and technologies of Industry 4.0. Interconnection has given the possibility for the production system to be more flexible, because the entire system is interconnected, each unit of the production system knows what is happening in the other units on a micro or macro level. Furthermore, the real-time flow of information from machines, facilities and labor to and from factory management has made the decision-making process more efficient, reliable and fast. On the selected example of three business systems, the measurement of implementation factors was carried out. The measurement determined that the business systems have sufficient available resources and a sufficiently high initial level of quality for QMS and TQM, which means that there is a high level of readiness for implementation, which is a necessary but not sufficient condition. A sufficient condition would presuppose taking measures in the field of management, technology, training, motivation, etc. with which conditions would be created for the successful integration of TQM with Industry 4.0.
