Studies of the relative biological effectiveness (RBE) and oxygen enhancement ratio (OER) using human kidney cells (T-l) indicated that the RBE at the broad peak region was about 1.3-1.4, compared with that at the beam entrance. The OER was reduced to about 1.7–1.9.Article HistoryPublished in print: Feb 1972 FiguresReferencesRelatedDetailsCited ByPhysics in Medicine & Biology, Vol. 67, No. 15Free Radical Research, Vol. 55, No. 4Physics in Medicine and Biology, Vol. 56, No. 11Clinics in Plastic Surgery, Vol. 20, No. 3International Journal of Radiation Oncology*Biology*Physics, Vol. 12, No. 1International Journal of Radiation Biology and Related Studies in Physics, Chemistry and Medicine, Vol. 39, No. 3HELIUM IONSOphthalmology, Vol. 87, No. 6Radiation and Environmental Biophysics, Vol. 16, No. 3International Journal of Radiation Oncology*Biology*Physics, Vol. 5, No. 10International Journal of Radiation Oncology*Biology*Physics, Vol. 3International Journal of Radiation Oncology*Biology*Physics, Vol. 3International Journal of Radiation Biology and Related Studies in Physics, Chemistry and Medicine, Vol. 30, No. 4Cancer, Vol. 35, No. 6Nuclear Instruments and Methods, Vol. 131, No. 3International Journal of Radiation Biology and Related Studies in Physics, Chemistry and Medicine, Vol. 28, No. 1Acta Radiologica: Therapy, Physics, Biology, Vol. 14, No. 6Cancer, Vol. 34, No. 1European Journal of Cancer (1965), Vol. 10, No. 4European Journal of Cancer (1965), Vol. 10, No. 4Nature, Vol. 251, No. 5475Physics in Medicine and Biology, Vol. 19, No. 4Cancer, Vol. 34, No. 1Acta Radiologica: Therapy, Physics, Biology, Vol. 12, No. 6Science, Vol. 175, No. 4027Science, Vol. 175, No. 4027Recommended Articles RSNA Education Exhibits RSNA Case Collection Vol. 102, No. 2 Metrics Altmetric Score PDF download
