Abstract

L i ( i=1, 2 and 3) X-ray production cross sections have been measured for 14 elements in the atomic number range 55≤ Z≤81 at 15.73 keV. The values of L i subshell fluorescence yields ( ω 1, ω 2 and ω 3) have been determined using the presently measured X-ray production cross sections and the theoretical L i subshell photoionization cross sections values, Coster–Kronig transition probabilities and radiative emission rates. The measured X-ray production (XRP) cross-sections and fluorescence yield values were compared with the theoretical and semi empirical values, respectively.
