Abstract

Coil-based non-contact testing is widely used for the measurement of conductivity and permeability of bulk metal. However, there is a lack of researches on the application of this method to liquid-solid mixture with lower conductivity and permeability. In this article, a model for simultaneously predicting the conductivity and permeability of liquid-solid mixture based on coil impedance and equivalent circuit analysis is proposed and verified by numerical simulation. The parameters of the model are determined by the experiments of the solutions with and without magnetic granule. With the proposed model, the prediction errors of the conductivity and permeability of the liquid-solid mixture used in this article are less than 5.0% and 3.4%, respectively.
