Abstract
A quick method for estimating the cathode-control-grid contact potential of receiving valves has been developed. This makes use of the law of similar triangles on the temperature-limited (Ia, Va) plot of the simplified diode. This method can equally well be applied to the estimation of the cathode and grid work functions.
