Abstract
In order to measure the size of the industry connector terminal, and make the connector terminal more conform to the requirements of the industrial production, this paper proposes a connector terminal measuring method based on machine vision. First, use Gaussian filtering to remove the interference of the common noise. Second, use Canny edge detection method to extract the edge. Third, recognize the terminals, get the position of the terminals and calculate the distance of two terminals. Experimental results show that compared with Mean filtering and Median filtering, the MSE of Gaussian filtering is 15.1222, the PSNR is 36.3347, which has the best effect. Compared with Sobel and Roberts operator, Canny operator is best for terminal images.
