Abstract

The acoustic definitions of several large auditoria and churches have been measured using the equipment described at the Fall, 1957, meeting of the Acoustical Society. The values obtained are discussed in relationship to the measured reverberation times and the sizes and shapes of the buildings. These included a city coliseum of over one million cubic feet, a church with a ceiling in the shape of a paraboloid of revolution, and other smaller churches and auditoria.
