Abstract

In this paper, a calibration curve is generated using the EM field simulator that is the Transmission Line Modeling (TLM) method to calibrate the errors of complex permittivity of dielectric materials obtained from the perturbation method. Furthermore, in this experiment, generated microwave power with the frequency of 2.45 GHz is applied to measure the temperature dependence of complex permittivity of the dielectric material and to heat the dielectric material simultaneously. To obtain these objectives, a rectangular cavity resonator with a cooling system is designed. It is found from the result that the accurate temperature dependence of complex permittivity of the materials can be obtained by the method presented here.
