Abstract
The partition coefficients of three amino acids (tryptophan, tyrosine and threonine) in various dextran+polyethylene+water aqueous two-phase systems were measured. The partition coefficients of six amino acids (glycine, phenylalanine, isoleucine, tryptophan, tyrosine and threonine), obtained in a previous and the present studies, were correlated by using the osmotic virial equation. The partition coefficients of amino acids were predicted successfully by using a hydrophilic group-parameters introduced in this study.
