Abstract

Isothermal vapor−liquid equilibrium data for the system acetonitrile + water + tetrapropylammonium bromide at four constant salt molalities [(0.200, 0.400, 0.800, and 1.000) mol·kg-1] have been measured with the help of headspace gas chromatography at (298.15 and 323.15) K. The experimental data were correlated using two different electrolyte models: an electrolyte nonrandom two-liquid model and an electrolyte universal quasi-chemical functional-group activity coefficients model. Mean absolute deviations of vapor phase compositions for these models were 0.006 and 0.007, respectively.
