Abstract

The article deals with the main types of laws that are the basis and necessary condition for the presence of an architectural composition. These include symmetry, metro-rhythmic and proportional patterns. At the same time, these patterns are the main compositional means of expressiveness and harmonization of form. A brief history of the development of theoretical research in the treatises of famous architects and theorists of the architecture of the past is given in brief about the importance of using these patterns in design. What is the basis of the creative process at birth of an architectural form - mathematical calculation or creative feeling? On the question of the primacy of theoretical or empirical design methods can give an analysis of the drawings of the facades of the temples, authored by Professor of Architecture Oleg Sleptsov. The analysis was conducted in two directions: the search for the most common proportional relations (simple and irrational) and the method of triangulation. Analysis of the facades of the temples of architect Oleg Semenovich Sleptsov showed that in the design of the use of proportional regularities was used at the level of feeling, without preliminary calculation; Patterns of conditional triangles and squares with all the richness of variations have an ethnic orientation and special author's handwriting, and the placement of identical elements in rotund volumes increases their perspective reduction, giving them a rhythmic perception, which in turn leads to a distinct dynamic.
