Abstract

Using the experimental free-scattering phase shifts as input, properties of nuclear matter are calculated by Brueckner many-body techniques. Previously reported calculations are extended to include second-order “rearrangement” contributions to the mean field, occupation numbers and spectral functions. Results are in close agreement with potential model calculations.
