Abstract

Mealybugs (Hemiptera: Coccomorpha: Pseudococcidae) were collected from Aydın province, Turkey between 2019 and 2021 to document the species found in agricultural and non-agricultural areas. Thirty-five species belonging to 16 genera were collected from more than 150 host plants. Six of the species are new country records for Turkey: Allotrionymus multipori Kawai, 1973; Kiritshenkella sacchari (Green, 1900); Phenacoccus parietaricola Goux, 1938; Phenacoccus peruvianus Granara de Willink, 2007; Phenacoccus schmelevi Bazarov, 1980 and Spilococcus flavus (Borchsenius, 1949). Seyneria neohordei (Marotta, 1992) is returned to its original genus assignment, as Phenacoccus neohordei Marotta comb. rev.
