Mealtime Manual for People with Disabilities and the Aging by Judith Lannefeld Klinger, OTR, MA, is a handbook to aid in the preparation of meals for the individual with physical limitations and the aging. It focuses on hands-on skills that should be used initially during treatment sessions with a health care professional. Eventually these skills can be performed independently by the individual. The book focuses on tasks in the kitchen, including kitchen planning, handling utensils, serving, cleanup, healthy choice of foods, individual tastes, concerns in the kitchen, and shopping.
