Abstract
The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center is a unique academic medical center devoted to the expert treatment, research, prevention, and education of cancer. Located in Houston, Texas, MD Anderson not only serves patients from Houston predominantly, but also sees patients from throughout Texas, the United States, and the world. We recently celebrated the 10-year anniversary of our community surgical program and we briefly discuss herein a decade’s experience of regionalized surgical oncology care in the Houston area.
