Abstract
We have measured the temperature dependence of MCD spectra on Ce@C 82 and Ce 2@C 80 in the Ce 3d–4f excitation region. The results show that Ce@C 82 has antiferromagnetic interaction while Ce 2@C 80 has ferromagnetic interaction between Ce magnetic moments which are much smaller than the Hund-ground-state values.
