Abstract
A control strategy for the maximization of energy capture in variable-speed wind driven turbines is presented. This strategy allows following an operating trajectory with three different parts: maximum efficiency (normal operation), power and speed limitations. These limitations are introduced when there is more available energy than the consumed one or when the wind speed exceeds a certain value. Simulation results that confirm the feasibility of the proposed strategy are presented.
