Abstract
In steady state studies, the operation constraints such as bus voltages and lines currents are the main limiter factors for penetration of DGs in distribution networks. This paper proposes a method based on sensitivity of these constraints due to injection power in a specific bus. To determine the maximum allowable penetration level of an installed DG, the sensitivity analysis based on the linear model of the system is used. Also, the effects of network topology are evaluated on the allowable penetration level of the DG. This method is employed on the 69-bus test system. The impact of network operation modes on the DG penetration is also presented and evaluated.
