Abstract
A convergence semigroup is a semigroup X with a convergence structure so that if s and t are nets in X with the same domain such that s?x and t?y, then s?xy. In this paper, we discuss the properties of maximal and minimal ideals of convergence semigroups. Unlike the proofs found in most topological semigroups articles, all the results in this paper are essentially established, by mean of nets, in a much weaker setting as was mentioned in [1] and [2].
