Abstract

We construct and discuss the analytical solution of matter wave bright soliton on a continuous wave (CW) background in a system of inhomogeneous Bose-Einstein condensate which is described by the time dependent variable coefficient Gross-Pitaevskii equation. First, we discuss the matter wave soliton for four different forms of the time dependent linear potential under the influence of exponentially varying atomic scattering length with constant dispersion coefficient. In the exponentially varying atomic scattering length, soliton undergoes pulse compression in all types of time dependent linear potential.
