Abstract

RATIONALE: A small number of reports suggest that Matsutake mushroom can induce anaphylaxis on rare occasions. Skin tests using mushrooms are reported to be useful in these cases. Here we report a woman with bronchial asthma, who told us two episodes of Matsutake-induced anaphylaxis that had occurred approximately ten years before. She said that other mushrooms had never induced allergic reactions.
