Abstract

In order to efficiently analyze the scattering and radiation of the multilayer structures, the adaptive cross approximation (ACA) is applied to accelerate the matrix-vector multiplication operations. Although ACA is efficient compared with the direct method, the setup time of ACA is very long for the broadband problems. An efficient version of ACA is proposed in this paper. The method applies an efficient matrix interpolation technique to the matrices of ACA. Using the matrix interpolation technique, a much less setup time representation of the far field matrix is obtained. The numerical results of the multilayer structures are used to demonstrate that the efficiency of the proposed method.
